Poem - Week 1

Two, One, Zero

Count down, count down,
Rocket leaving soon.
Count down, count down,
Leaving for the moon.

Count down, count down,
Minutes flicker by.
Count down, count down,
All eyes on the sky.

Count down, count down,
Countin down from ten.
Count down to blast off,
For the rocket men.

Our SOTW is Rr.

Poem - Week 10

Mr Owl

Late at night when you're in bed,
Mr Owl perks up his head.
He looks left and he looks right,
In the dark all through the night.
Hear him hoot when you're in bed,
When Mr Owl perks up his head.

Hot is the opposite of cold. Do you know anymore?

Punctuation Poem

I am a full stop.
I look just like a dot.
Every time you see me,
You must stop!

I am a question mark.
You might ask me why?
Every time you see me,
Your voice will go up high.

I am a comma.
I look just like a hook.
Every time you see me,
Slow down and look!

I'm an exclamation mark.
I'm full of surprise.
Every time you see me,
Widen your eyes!

We are speech marks.
We're in groups of two.
Every time you see us,
Talking is what we do.
Well done to our Kapahaka children who performed at assembly on Friday. You were awesome!

Our Sound of the Week is qu

Help me list lots of words beginning with qu.

Poem - Week 8

q and u are best friends

There once was a letter
We knew him as 'q'
That bored little letter
Had nothing to do.
Along came another,
Who said "Let's be friends"
And now they're together
To spell and to blend.
That shy little letter
That we know as 'q'
Now stands and speaks proudly,
But always with 'u'

Here are our jellyfish.
